Using thought bubbles to convey what he is thinking, whether he’s in character as Joe Cool, a World War II flying ace trying to impress Fifi, the French Poodle who steals his heart. Who does like when he licks Lucy who then freaks out about having “Dog Germs”!
Also, his 7 siblings (5 brothers and two sisters), with Spike being the oldest, who wears a rimmed hat with his long whiskers and lives in Needles, CA; Olaf, who wears a baseball or hunting cap; sister Belle, who wears a pink bow in her hair and a pink neck collar, and who lives in Kansas City, MO; Andy, who has two fluffy brown ears; Marbles, who is more realistic and has spots on his back and ears; Molly, who wears a blue dress; and brother Rover, who is beige colored with brown ears and green collar.
Molly and Rover only appeared briefly in the animated Reunion with his mom and dad.
