Daily Prompt: If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose? 9/16/26
John 3:16 – Be thankful, grateful, patient, charitable, kind, and smile, as it is infectious. God Bless America; protect our president and the military!
Ward Cleaver, as portrayed by Hugh Beaumont in Leave It to Beaver.
I always admired his emotional balance in the ins and outs of raising two boys, and how they always addressed real-life situations, often reminding him and June of what he was like as a young man and heeding her advice as an equal in their marriage. They gave them the freedom to explore, loosening the parental leash; he always instilled responsibility for their actions and made sure they knew there were consequences for bad behavior.
The show also showed great contrast in its cast, with characters such as Eddie Haskle, Larry Mondello, and Lumpy.
