Be thankful, grateful, patient, charitable, kind, and don’t forget to smile, as it is infectious.
Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all who served or are serving, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom!
Happy Birthday, Sister Marian – A “Septuagenarian” in her twilight bloom.
Okay, I am going to be honest with you here! I looked for a poetic way of describing the age above and did the same for this prompt. Here’s what the powers that be had to say on this question.
Poetic Response – Life isn’t a fixed destination, but an unfolding rhythm. It is the art of being fully present- the breath between moments, a quiet strength of connection, and the courage to weave your own story from beauty and sorrow made up of the journey, tapestry of emotions, and affect the quality of the day authenticity
My Response – Pray, Eat, Live, Love, Marry, Propagate, Pray, Mourn, Drink, Dance, Run, Jump, Walk, Ride, Fly, Swim, Sail, Climb, Laugh, Write, Read, and Enjoy the Quiet moments. Hopefully, you are lucky enough to find a lover or partner like I have to share it with in life! My only two life rules to these are simple – “Attitudes are Contagious, be sure Yours is worth catching!”
“Faith, Family, Country, Friends – In that order!
Memorial Day Remembrance: Below are pictures of my dad during WWII (L, R). My wife’s father (C), Uncle Buddy, and her mom, Marie (Nee: Crossin), who was a Rosie the Riveter and also worked on the Apollo Moon Landing program at Clifton Precision. Also, her dad, Mike Kmeco, tank Sgt., who fought under Patton in the Battle of the Bulge and in many others in the African and European theaters, and to the many family members and in-laws who served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, in almost every branch of the armed services, but mostly Army Infantry.
What’s your or your family’s story? Please share if you wish.
