Daily Prompt: What’s a movie you expected to hate but ended up loving? 5/26/26

Well, three movies actually came to mind, and I am sure over my 70 years, there were more, but here goes.

  1. The Holdovers – Starring Paul Gianatti,
  2. St. Vincent – Starring Bill Murray, Mellisa McCarthy, Naomi Watts, Jaeden Martell, Chris O’Dowd, Terrence Howard
  3. Simon Birch – Starring Joseph Mazzello, Ashley Judd, Ian Michael Smith, David Strathairn, Oliver Platt and Jim Carrey who did double duty as the narrator.
  4. A Man Called Otto – Would be the runner-up to the above three

Okay, I picked three, so the floor is yours! What movie(s) would you pick?
