(John 3:16) – Be Thankful, Grateful, Patient, Charitable, Understanding, Kind, and Smile as it is infectious! God Bless America; Protect Our President, 1st Responders and Military!
That Anything in excess isn’t good for your health and wellbeing. For me after years of smoking, and trying to quit it took me having a heart attack in the midst of the blizzard of 1996. It is only by the grace of God that I am still here some 30 plus years later to warn you about your life choices.
I think about that day from time to time as you never can really truly forget it and its impact on your lifestyle, health choices and changes to be made are life altering.
I do have some inclination of the impact it would have made for my wife, children and the eight grandchildren that we’ve been blessed to be a part of their lives these past thirty plus years. I might add and before any of them were born. It is the reason why I get up giving thanks to God and go to sleep doing the same.
That being said I have been also gifted with an Irish sense of humor. So, I can assure, as many of my many friends and family can attest. I am no saint but any means but smart enough to recognize this gift of time and place that has been given to me.
What life lessons learned would you share? Don’t spit in the wind …or something more relevant. The choice is yours!
Point to Ponder: We are living in a time and maybe it just seems more prevalent with instantaneous news where crime often fueled by abuses to drugs, alcohol, norms of sexuality etc… are being exploited. Our children are growing up in a world were everywhere they turn to television, radio, music, magazines Tik Tok, Google, WhatsApp, ChatGpt, etc… which at times it seems anything goes to create the story rather than just give the facts. The worst part is there is no escaping it from Hollywood, the classroom, News Media outlets, entertainers who all preach to impressionable minds their own political agendas. Quite frankly it is disgusting and sickening that kids today are being led away from morality at light speed and taking everything they hear as gospel. To speak out against it gets you condemned. Parents have to really fight to maintain some kind of normalcy in their children’s lives. It is a real struggle to keep your family focused on God these days; when so much Evil is so blatantly prevalent and weaved into the fabric of everyday life.
