Daily Prompt: What celebrity would you love to meet, and what would you talk about?? 10/13/26

John 3:16 – Be Thankful, Grateful, Patient, Charitable, Kind, and smile, as it is infectious. God Bless America; Protect Our President and Military!

Actor Ed O’Neill – Well all know the actor of series like Married with Children and Modern Family for his insight on a career path laced in dry humor, timing, discipline and things learned along the way before and during his Hollywood career. But his path was altered on his way to fame.

After winning a state football championship in Worthington, Ohio, he earned the local nickname, Ed O’Winner.

In 1969, O’Neill was signed as an undrafted free agent defensive lineman by the Pittsburgh Steelers, though he was cut during training camp.

He followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and worked as an apprenticed boilermaker and steel worker for four years. He also before breaking into acting worked as a high school Social Studies substitute teacher in Youngstown Ohio. I would’ve loved to have been in that class.

He has trained for over 20 years in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu , under Rorion Gracie and is a black belt.

He almost was cast as Ed Malone of Cheers, but it eventually went to actor Ted Danson.

Al Budy Inspiration: Instead of playing Al Bundy as an angry, yelling archetype (like Jackie Gleason), he modeled the character’s detached, resigned demeanor after one of his own uncles.

He once politely posed for a photo with a young fan at an airport without realizing the fan was pop star Britney Spears.

His star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame is placed directly in front of a shoe store

I picked Ed as he comes across as my kind of guy!

Who would you pick ad why?
