Daily Prompt: Which fictional world would be the most fun to vacation in? 8/27/26

John 3:16 – Be thankful, grateful, patient, charitable, kind, and smile, as it is infectious.  God Bless America; protect our president and the military!

Definitely Dr. Seuss’s world of Whooville – I could try all the loud, brassy horns, sleigh ride down Mount Crumpit, go Cloud-Listening when pressing your ear to clover flowers to hear tiny voices of friends from near and far, play with Electro-Who Whizzers, and KranKaker Clockwork Toys with their intricate wind-up gadgets that march and spin and other Whoville toys which are famous for being loud, mechanical, and abstract combining whimsical transportation with musical noise. e.g.

1. Jingtinglers – Oversized, vibrant jingle bells that go on children’s shoes that work best when jumping or stomping one’s feet

2. Floofloovers – Gigantic brass woodwind instruments shaped between a cross of a tuba and a saxophone.

3. Whohoopers – A massive contraption that chains multiple horns and trumpets together into one framework.

4. Trumptookas – A double-sided horn system that requires immense cooperation.

5. Slooslunkas – A heavy, hanging bell instrument carried through the town square.

6. Blumbloopas – The Whooville equivalent of a one-man marching band

7. Gardukas – A high-chair-style drum rig on wheels

Then, when I was done trying them all out along with the various riding toys, I would attend the Whoville celebration, drink eggnog and other libations, then feast on the roast beast before enjoying the many Whoville desserts of cakes, puddings, pies, and have a few aperitif libations!

What fictional world would be a fun vacation for you?
