Covid 19: would be my knee jerk response to this prompt. Remember though it has been six years in its aftermath still exposing many things still being answered today some six years later. READ ON**
This prompt in its enticingly engaging supposition which poses more importantly the historical outcomes as we know the reality of it today.
It also poses the short-term gratification of the mistake in making a quick knee-jerk response e.g. No Crucifixion of Jesus, No Mohammad, No Hitler, No Irish potato famine, No European discovery of America Leading to the Trail of Tears, decimating the Native Americans, No Manifest Destination, No Cortez, No Lenin, No Greek or Roman Empires, No Ottoman Empire, No Ho Chi Min, No Genghis Kahn, Karl Marx, Stalin, Chairman Mao and a litany of others throughout the beginning of time.
However, as science proves time and time again for every action there is a reaction, the Ying and Yang and each side of the coin come with its own joys, rebirth, invention, sadness, destruction and horrors. Ask yourself if we didn’t have the Nuclear Bomb…would Hitler have gotten it first as they had the rocket? How many more Americans would’ve died fighting Japan? So, in looking back it can open a “pandora’s box” so to speak.
In closing keep in mind for every choice made or not made in history there are always consequences to that decision?
