As retirees with a combined 90 years of dedicated careers, we have much to reflect on. Additionally, if we include the 10 years Nancy spent at home raising our four children until the youngest started school, our total years of service surpass 100.
We now live, enjoying the fruits of our labors, and are able to help with our grandchildren, get out with family and friends, travel, and do what dreams are made of. We still have our health and the ability to get out and do the things that present themselves each day.
We often say that every day is a Saturday, and most weeks, some days are just as busy. We love not having a work schedule dictate when we sleep or rise each day. We love the slower pace of enjoying the morning in each season, staying up late, and sleeping in, even though we’re both early risers.
Well, I like writing this blog, playing guitar, and making wine, and if you follow me, you may remember that I have written and published three books to date. We like to stay active and keep busy, and we now have two grand dogs that help with that at times.
