Yes – We were raised to believe in and respect the election process, win, lose, or draw. However, there have been blatant signs of election tampering in past elections. Dead people voting, illegal non-citizens voting, ballot box tampering, we all remember the chads, closing the ballot polls?
In a time of instantaneous information, where we can order our food ahead of time for pick-up or delivery, or anything from anywhere in the world, we have computer chips in our cars, credit cards, watches, phones that track us, put men in space, the moon and come back to earth and land in a predetermined spot; but somehow we can’t show proof of citizenship and vote electronically, so within minutes of the last polls closing we know the outcome. It is beyond me.
So I ask myself why? Who would be against showing a receipt for proof of purchase, so to speak? Why would they be against it? Who would be against getting a real ID that shows you are who you say you are and that you are still living? Two seconds: your license is scanned, you vote, the computer logs it, and it’s instantly added!
You know, folks, Congress doesn’t use paper ballots; they vote electronically after passing through security to prove they are who they say they are as elected officials. They just don’t want that tried-and-true method of voting for you, as they can’t cheat or add loopholes. It is ridiculous, and yet they will sell the misguided a bill of goods on why it can’t or shouldn’t be done. As my daddy used to say, if it looks like a fish, smells like a fish, it’s definitely fishy!
That is why we are for legal voting restrictions showing identification that you are an American Citizen, alive, with a privileged right to vote and to stand up to be counted in a matter of seconds. It’s amazing to me that we haven’t gotten here yet in 2026. I don’t care if you’re white, black, red, yellow, blue, purple, a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian, or affiliated with another recognized party. We, as Americans, should all be screaming, “Why?”
Point to Ponder: We all know we need to show a legitimate license or ID to buy cough medicine, alcohol, tobacco, firearms, rent a car, or a U-Haul, travel, and a litany of other things, and rightly so. Demand that your elected officials approve Real Voter ID registration, and if they can’t get it done or give excuses as to why, vote them out of office, as they are definitely nefariously hiding something. We also need two-term limits for all politicians, a naturalized-citizen requirement to hold office, and a damn surety that all politicians have the same benefit package as the one they offer you. They should never have the power to shut down the government while they’re being paid, and you, as a federal employee, aren’t getting paid. Ask yourself how long you and your family would last without a paycheck? It’s a political hack job and ridiculous
