I like to discuss children, grandchildren, family, history, wine, music, guitar chords/lyrics/tablature, politics, jokes, work, travels, fine dining, food, religion, science, and a host of other topics for sure.
However, I find this particular blog topic appropriate for focusing on and discussing my one-year anniversary of hosting this blog.
So last April 23, 2025, I wrote and developed my blog site. The site was developed using my authorship moniker, D. C. Donahue Books. Over the past year, I touched on many topics, sharing insight, personal points of view, stories, shared meetings, travels, poems, books, interests, and more with a touch of humor.
Those of you who have come to check in on me from time to time or follow me over the past year have seen me bare my soul of who I am, share a laugh or two, mostly at my expense, family history, DNA, and character on so many topics. Sharing my insight on the topic of the day and many other things lived or experienced over my 70 years. Now retired with my wife, the love of my life for over 50 years. I am betting that our story isn’t too different from yours in many ways.
In closing, I want to first thank you for participating and taking a brief moment from your day to read, react, laugh, ponder, or reflect not so much on the words as on the feelings, stories, or emotional responses they bring to your story. I am humbled and grateful for your entertaining my blog as a part of the audience of those who check in from time to time and possibly react as the need arises in your responses.
