I worked in the Food Service Industry for 42 years and earned my well-deserved retirement and all that comes with it! I enjoy every day very much, whether I am writing this blog, playing my guitar, enjoying time with my family, doing nothing, poolside in summer, dinners out sharing stories in conversation over a good bottle of wine with family or friends, watching TV by the fireplace in winter, or just spending quiet evenings at home with my lovely wife.
I don’t want to rub it in for those of you still working, but every day is Saturday when you’re retired. In the words of John Lennon: “I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round .” So, let the spin doctors spin, and preachers preach while the music keeps playing on to a different beat. Your own!

Point to Ponder: If and when you are nearing retirement, have a plan to do those things you always thought about but never had enough time for- travel, read, write, sing, play, dance, act, cook, sew, paint, learn, or just enjoy the solitude or party to your heart’s content. It’s your call, but plan and dream big!
