John 3:16 – Be thankful, grateful, patient, charitable, kind, and smile, as it is infectious.  God Bless America; protect our president and Military!

I don’t care if it is in solace of your quiet room, outside sitting in a reflective moment or sitting quietly in in a church pew before or after services take some time every morning and evening before you retire to give thanks to God for what you have.

Then slowly read my opening precursor to every prompt above. If you do not know what (John3:16) is go to the library, Google search, pick up your family bible and revisit it in its perfect rhythm between Old and New Testaments written by its many authors over thousands of years but totally in sync from beginning to end.

It will cost you nothing but can save you everything – your relationships with your family, wife, children, friends, offer advice in helping others get there and so much more. I offered a few to start with below and why.

1. The psalms of David try starting with 22, 23, 51,63, and 92.
2. Those contemplating marriage or married couples I would suggest reading the Song of Solomon’s (Song of Songs) highlighting love, intimacy and devotion between husband and wife.
3. St. Paul’s letters to the Corinthians, Ephesians, and others on love, relationships, and what you should strive for in your marriage.
4. The Gospels of John, Matthew, Mark, Luke and the letters of Saints Peter and Paul and others.
5. Those of you into horror movies, read, if you dare, the book of Revelation, the most horrifying thing in existence. Then keep your eye on what’s happening in the Middle East right now. Also, China and Russia.

Point to Ponder: For the record I am not a religious fanatic or zealous person, certainly like everyone born other than the Blessed Mother a sinner. However, I do try to be well read on any number of topics and genres. The Bible is not only the top selling book year-in and year-out but also the Greatest Documented Story Ever Told that has yet to be disproved at any level. If it concerns the fate of the world and how we got here, from then to now, while offering advice on every unimagined or imagine level of understanding and on many levels. It just might be worth reading and then like me you too will come to BELIEVE!
