Hope you and your family had a safe, happy, and healthy 4th of July! The following are my observations and opinions based solely on events reported on the news over the past 6 years.

I used to think that every American born, despite our best and worst in our history, has come a long way in being the nation that could actually live up to and protect the document we all just celebrated.

I am afraid of our forefathers and those who fought and died in almost every war, and I admit many were questionable. Still, at the end of the day, we would unite under One Nation Under the Trinity and sign the Treaty of Paris by none other than Ben Franklin and John Adams to end the Revolutionary War that made us a recognized country of our own that day!

I, as our fathers before us, their fathers before them, throughout our storied history, never let our differences get in the way. Side by side, we fought under those same Stars and Stripes, defending her, sang the National Anthem loudly at every sporting event, hand over heart, hats off, and be proud as peacocks of our shared heritage. That is, until these past 6 years.

We have now become, in a short time, I might add, a nation divided by political differences, Faith, Legal immigrants being pushed aside for illegal immigrants, raising taxes on hard-working people to fund the system, open borders, demonizing the police, ICE, and Border Patrol that protect us? Now taxpayers are being robbed in Sanctuary cities and states to garner votes to stay and keep their political positions while trying to convince you it’s fictitious and okay?

The wars fought to stop tyrants- socialist and Communist by our fathers were thrown aside and trampled on, and our youth are being indoctrinated that it is good for this nation? Somebody point out a country under Socialist or Communist rule where their people who came here would agree?

We now think it is okay to burn the flag that members of all our families, past and present, fought to protect. Have we totally lost our moral compass? We had Congress applaud a visiting King within a week of hosting around the country, funded by Evil “NO KINGS PARADES” against our elected president. It even sounds crazier to me as I type.

It’s been reported that money is being funneled into private pockets from the Welfare and needy programs in Minnesota, making outsiders rich. We have a billion-dollar train to nowhere in California that never got built by a governor who thinks he will be the next President. Who just actually joked with teaming up with Hunter Biden of all people.

We have newly elected Identifying Socialist Democrats calling for: no police, ICE, Border protection, and prisons. Also, at the taxpayers’ expense, especially the rich of those cities, in funding free schools, health care, and money via federal assistance to those who came here by the 10’s of millions ILLEGALLY! Question: Just who do you think funds the ideas that create the job markets to build the places we work and pay your salary, health benefits, and more? That money is reinvested in your communities to support local businesses. It’s called entrepreneurship, and yes, capitalism- it’s what our nation was founded on and thrived on

We now have terrorists, Cartels, Drugs, Prostitution, children being abused, and crime that is off the charts, mostly run by these same elected big city officials for them and the unions that support them to keep them all funded and lining their pockets. Hell, I don’t blame them if I lived in some of the places these folks are flocking through our open borders from 2020 to 2024 by the tens of millions; I would have brought my family here.

However, we had a fail-safe system for becoming an American Citizen for generations that worked.

1. Lawful Admission: Required to have entered the country legally.
2. Age Requirements: Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
3. Residency: You needed a minimum of 5 years of continuous legal residence in U.S. ( or 3 years if you were married to a U.S. citizen).
4. Character: You had to prove “good moral character,” which included being attached to the principles of the U.S. Constitution.
5. Language and Civics: Applicants had to demonstrate the ability to read, write, and speak basic English and pass an examination of U.S. government and history.
6. The Oath: You must be willing to take the Oath of allegiance to the U.S. Constituion. – This included renouncing any allegiance to any foreign state.

To put that in perspective, a low estimate of 11 million, with at least 2 million got-aways, many with criminal ties or backgrounds. Of course, as in any other country in the world, it is a crime to enter it illegally and without proper identification. So, what political party do you think benefits from this illegal insurgency?

This last week, it was reported by Reuters and Gallup polls that the following –

1. Republicans – 88-92% feel extremely proud to be American of which 62% have plans to celebrate it this year. Gallup Poll – Has 78% of Republican’s plan to celebrate Independence Day!
2. Democrats – Only 36% to 45% report being proud, with about 46% to 54% planning on celebrating. Only 27% of Democrats report that they will display the flag!
3. Independents –43% to 60% are very proud to be Americans and plan to celebrate the day! Gallup Has them at 60%

Point to Ponder: Ask yourself where the worst-reported schools, crime, defunct neighborhoods, lack of resources, and, now, illegal immigrant funding at your expense are located- not only in money but in federal assistance, job loss, and the like. Where is the biggest exodus of money and businesses leaving, in relation to jobs? How long do you think the streets will last in taming these issues with law enforcement? You’ve been sold a bill of goods, and you bought it without realizing it’s at your own expense. Look around you; whatever station is feeding you the so-called news, look elsewhere for another opinion.
