Sadly, this is something in my life that has escaped me, most likely due to a lack of exposure beyond a few years of Spanish in High School and a few weeks spent trying to communicate on a vacation to Italy.
Hey, as a humorist, most folks who hear me talk with my Philly accent think I am from another part of the world anyway. e.g. Water – Wadder Radiator – Rad-iator
Don’t even get me started on South Philly speak, where TH sounds like “F” and “F” sounds like “TH,” e.g., Three – is Free and Free -is Three
Yo! That being said, I wish I could speak better English and retain more of the Spanish I learned in High School. I am not sure at this stage of life, even the Rosetta Stone would help.
So, what are some of the languages you learned and retained?
