Daily Prompt: Write about a time you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently? 4/21/26

Be thankful, grateful, patient, charitable, kind, and don’t forget to smile, as it is infectious. God Bless America and Protect Our Military!!

I can’t think of a time when action was called for, and I didn’t take it. I am not a person who lives in a world of regrets, as we all make mistakes in life, and as I tell my children and grandchildren, “I have yet to see the clock that goes backward in time, but if you find it, let me know.”

However, it is important to reconcile ourselves with God or with those we have let down or offended, which, to me, is the same thing. If it was against someone, make amends or offer to help mend the bridges.

The hardest thing is to live life with regret and not move on, just don’t make the same mistake again. We all know the saying, “Fool me once, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me!” It’s in that sentence that we first learn and then reconcile, before we can leave it to become a small part of our past journey through life.

What was a time in your life when you didn’t take action, and wish you had? What would you have done differently looking back?
