Daily Prompt: What’s the most fun way to exercise? 4/7/26

Be thankful, grateful, patient, charitable, kind, and don’t forget to smile, as it is infectious. God Bless America and Protect Our Military

*** Answer to yesterday’s mystery question: Who wrote the book that became the holiday movie, It’s a Wonderful Life – Philip Van Doren Stern. He first tried to find a publisher and failed. So, Stern self-published the story and sent it as a Christmas card to 200 friends and family members in 1943 ***

Today’s Prompt Response: I’ll make it quick! Doing leg exercises from my recliner while enjoying a nice bowl of ice cream with pretzels, you know, the twisty kind? Only kidding!

I guess for me it would be gathered with friends’ poolside in meaningless conversation, as we are in the pool, so presumably it’s hot! Throwing a ball, walking laps, or just swimming around, while the girls do water aerobics, with the exception of Bill or Tom, they know who they are. Probably discussing sports, news of the day, not getting too political, and more likely making some plan or other in getting out together for some drinks and a laugh.

The pool management has yet to buy into our idea of a juice bar, hot towels, and an adult Splash/Pig Roast Party! All kidding aside, the group, as we refer to ourselves, “the pool night crew,” usually closes the place. They host many fun events throughout the summer, which most people enjoy – Christmas in July, Rubber Ducky Derby, Pirate games, youth Splash Parties, BBQs, and the like. They even invite some old-timer musicians to entertain the adult pool crowd on Labor Day weekend before the pool closes. I guess if we’re that bad, they would have a whole year to forget whether they liked us or not! LOL
