Throughout my career, I have been involved in many opportunities with nonprofits, including Gift of Life, MDA, Variety, City Reads Program, David Akers Kicks for Kids, and many others.
Our local church, like many others, has several outreach programs. The most important thing is to choose one or more that you can support by volunteering. You can coach a Little League team, CYO, or PAL football or basketball team. Things I did when our kids were younger. It could be something as simple as checking in with elderly neighbors or offering rides to the doctor or other needed services. The point is, it is up to you whether or not you are going to do it! It’s your call.
This community flyer highlights several ways for neighbors to get involved and volunteer locally.
