Greet the day thankful, grateful, patient, charitable, and kind. Don’t forget to do it with a smile, as it is infectious!
Well, in lieu of all the snow and bone-chilling weather we’ve had of late, this is an easy one! I can hear my friends laughing, as I normally like a snowy day, and I don’t mind a little chill. But snow that freezes into 10″ ice blocks that only someone from the days before refrigeration could appreciate, as it would save money buying ice for the “Icebox” (yes, you younger folks, they were real things). I might add that it is hanging around for weeks on end with subfreezing temperatures, that maybe only the Polar Bears and Penguins at the zoo would appreciate.
It’s so cold, I think I saw a mob chasing Punxsutawney Phil down the street after seeing his shadow announcing six more weeks of winter. Hey, but then again, and not to be judgmental, I found some not too smart or sharpest knives in the drawer outside waiting for the bus or walking home from school with just a hoodie, no hat, no gloves, no boots, and just before the last snow, I saw some guy walking around in shorts!
This will make some of my friends happy to hear me say…Enough already with the sub-freezing temps and snow, as even my snowblower needs a break and is looking for a warmer clime!
