Daily Prompt: If you could have something named after you, what would it be. 3/28/26

Be thankful, grateful, patient, charitable, kind, and don’t forget to smile, as it is infectious. God Bless America and Protect Our Military

Special Note: We made settlement 8 years ago today on our house. Which reminds me that it is also one of my lifelong oldest friends’ birthdays today – Happy 70th Birthday to my Bagpipe, bass-playing friend Mike! (You know who you are)

Something that left a positive impact on the world in our community the first things that come to mind.

  1. Scholarship fund for unwed mothers that offers them an opportunity to grow and pay it forward
  2. A Center for wayward kids that helps them get off the street, learn a trade, be active members in their community outreach programs, and learn to be productive members of society with a commitment to help pay it forward as mentors.
  3. A Christian home for teenage mothers to support them through the birth process and educate them on the sanctity of life. Help them continue their education, building up their mind, body, and spirit to move physically and mentally, and eventually become mentors to others in the process.

Point to Ponder: There is so much need in the world that it is easy to find something you can do to better the community you live in, whether hands-on, financial, or a bit of both. Most churches have food cupboards, outreach programs, and the like that support many different interests, such as AA and drug addiction, support the homeless, Unwed mothers, Meals on Wheels, Knights of Columbus, etc… The list goes on; all it takes is three things: Time, Commitment, or Money to become a part of the solution.
