Prompt: What’s your favorite candy? What is your least favorite? (this part of the question I added) 2/6/26

Live the year with thankfulness, gratitude, respect, patience, charity, and kindness; don’t forget to laugh and smile often, as they are infectious.

Choosing just one type of candy, much like selecting a favorite flavor or brand of potato chips, is quite a challenge. What were they thinking? My wife, like many women, hasn’t encountered a chocolate-covered candy she didn’t enjoy. Now, that’s a question most of us could answer more definitively. It’s similar to those berry-covered candies that surprise you in the box. You know, the ones you would bite into as a kid, exclaim “Yuck!” and then promptly throw in the trash. Similar to those light-colored white, purple, and pink jellybeans they seem to use as bag fillers.

I have a strong preference for Butterfingers, Clark Bars, and 5th Avenue bars, as well as the chocolate sponge candies I often search for in homemade candy boxes. That said, I would never turn down any delightful chocolate confections made by Hershey, Mars, Asher’s, Lindt, Wilbur, Dove, or homemade treats from places like Bevan’s in Media, PA, among others, I’m sure to enjoy.

That being said, my wife and daughter make a variety of pretty awesome candy, caramel, and fudge treats at Christmas and Easter.

Point to Ponder: So, this question is like comparing the Ying to the Yang or good vs. bad. Good luck in answering this with just ONE! Have a great day!
