Live the year with thankfulness, gratitude, respect, patience, charity, and kindness; don’t forget to laugh and smile often, as they are infectious.
I like to read a variety of books across most genres, from Sci-Fi and fantasy to fiction and nonfiction, as well as books passed along that they feel are good reads e.g., Charles Dickens, J.R.R. Tolkien, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, Diana Gabaldon, J.K. Rowlings to books such as, A Thousand Splendid Suns and Kite Runner, Cemetery Road, Goldfinch, Gentleman in Moscow, The Alchemist, The Bible, To Fear the Wind or The Name of the Wind and so many more.
I have read many books over my almost 70 years, and certainly too many to mention, along with many poems by the likes of Frost, Wadsworth, Yeats, Keats, Dickson, Nash, Hawthorne, and a host of others.
Currently, I am reading a book given to us as a gift for our 50th wedding anniversary, which was yesterday, called The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, considered a masterpiece of literature. I would highly recommend it!
Point to Ponder: It isn’t so important what you read as long as you stay in the habit of reading anything outside of comic books, video game directions, and your favorite cereal boxes. As many of you know I have written and published three books to date. I have again attached links to two of them below, as well as my Pinterest site for a wealth of knowledge and likes collected over many years – http://www.Books,Nooks,andOtherThings@pinterest.com
I’ve included a FREE LISTEN for you and your family to enjoy. Click on the links below – Merry Christmas from our house to yours!
