I am a pretty good judge of character. I choose to surround myself with folks who share similar traits and live by the above precursor. e.g., Treat others as you would want to be treated, no matter what their position is in life. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Choose your friends wisely. The clock waits for no one and will always move forward with you or without you; make sure it is with you!
It was taught to us by our parents as a shared value to our siblings and us. We’re sure it was part of the natural selection of falling in love. We, in turn, passed those same lessons on, though some were hard-won, personally speaking. We shared those same values with our four children and, later, with our eight grandchildren, of whom we are very proud!
