Remember, in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, to Be Thankful, Considerate, Patient, Grateful, Kind, and to Laugh and Smile, as they are contagious!

I have always admired those who work in the service of others, especially those in the greatest need. People who give their time, education, talents, and resources to help others in their daily routines. e.g., military, Police, EMTs, Firefighters, assisted or handicapped care facilities workers in all aspects, nurses, doctors, food kitchens, Mailmen, Sanitation Workers, food cupboards, grocery clerks, retail sales, priests, /clergy, custodians, altar servers, waitresses, and an endless list of those who support the many reach out programs within those organizations and religious institutions. The hands-on Service Industry folks in all capacities, especially those behind the scenes that many people never see, tip or think about in making it all happen, from the cart collectors, cleaners, Meals on Wheels, dishwashers, cooks, and maintenance folks who keep all those facilities and operations functioning.

I might add the neighbors who take out and bring in your trash cans, mow your lawn, clean up the leaves, shovel or snowplow your walks or driveways, run you to the doctor or the store, collect your mail, and look after your place when you’re away, and a litany of other things. All who do those things and more every day or every week without fanfare.
