Prompt: How Do You Celebrate the Holidays? 8/11/25
RIP: Charlie Kirk, a voice of religious and conservative views and prayers for his wife, children, and family
Most holidays are celebrated at our house, surrounded by family, in-laws, and friends. My wife and I always enjoy this, especially now that we are retired, willing, and able to host. We love having our children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends around, particularly since many of them have nowhere else to go during the holidays. It’s how we were both raised, and we believe no one should spend the holidays alone.
We also have a lovely, large dining room table that seats 15— a birthday gift from my wife’s late brother, Steve. Our corner ranch has plenty of space, both inside and outside. There is a play area with a drawing area downstairs where the grandkids and now the grand-dogs love to run around or hang out.
