Looking forward to getting a jump on something recently passed for next year. The early bird gets the worm. 8/23/25

What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?

A few weeks ago, our family rented a shore home in Sea Isle City, a favorite Jersey shore, but we needed room for 16 and plenty of parking, which can be challenging. We were lucky enough to find a nice place, but it was several blocks from the beach and didn’t have a beach view. We were just thankful we didn’t rent this week, as Hurricane “Erin” really wreaked havoc on all East Coast shore points from Maine to Georgia. We just thank God it was pretty far offshore, as if it had made landfall as a Category 3-4, it would’ve been deadly. That being said, it’s going to take time and money to put things back to some kind of normalcy.

So, to get a jump on next year, the last thing we browsed the internet for was next year’s shore vacation home. We are looking for a place that sleeps 16, with a beach block view of the ocean (sans the hurricane) for at least 5-6 bedrooms, 4 baths, outside showers, and all the amenities, including an elevator if it can be found with decks on at least two floors and plenty of seating. Hmmm! If you know of such a place, preferably in the high-end of the Island, 66th Street to Townsend Inlet for $ 10,000 or under, let us know in the comment section. Hey! Ask and you shall receive, and it can’t hurt to ask. Wow! Our parents would roll over in their graves to hear what a week costs these days at the Jersey Shore. Two could go pretty much anywhere in Europe for 12 to 14 days with a pretty neat itinerary on that dime.
