Most of the three books, both published and those outlined and unpublished, as well as the few poems written, allow me to express myself by giving the reader the option of disliking, sharing, reviewing, or commenting to show their emotional response.
Any author, if they are honest—whether writing poetry, essays, horror, sci-fi, fantasy, music, fiction, or nonfiction—leaves a part of themselves within the pages of their work. This may manifest as a distinct writing style, choice of diction, or specific writing parameters. Each work is like a child; authors give birth to their creations, and criticism can often be harsh because they are putting themselves out there in the spaces between the words. From a psychological perspective, every published work contains a piece of the author’s essence, embedded in the lines of each page.

Consider that in the world today, the population is 8.142 billion people, and globally, 2.2 to 2.4 million, a mere fraction, are published. Out of those 500,000 to a million are children’s books, as well as another 500,000 or so holiday-related books. The rest of the million and a half are all the other genres of books combined.
