A Hobby Shop and more – Read On 8/4/25

Daily writing prompt
If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

A whimsical store where you entered through the front door and exited at the rear. We would sell a variety of playful items, including clickers, pea shooters, kites, balsa wood planes, model cars and boats, trains of all sizes and models, rockets and spaceships, race cars, board games, skates, bikes, scooters, pinky balls, pimple balls, bats, hard and soft balls, wiffle balls, tennis balls, horseshoes, bocce balls, and drawing materials.

The store also offers an assortment of footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, and fun items for the pool. These products are designed to hover, fly, or inspire creativity, encouraging young minds to play, create, and invent while expanding their imaginations.

There will be a dedicated room in the back filled with books for children aged 2 to 10, designed to inspire their imagination. This collection will focus on themes related to seasons, festivals, and holidays. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the store will be equipped with a jamming device that disables all electronic devices upon entry. This ensures that the focus remains solely on the child and their parent(s) or guardian.

As you exit, you’ll walk through a whimsical tunnel that leads to the back of the store, where you can buy a variety of old-fashioned candies. There will also be a rewards system in place, allowing children to receive a free cone on their tenth visit.
