Happy Fourth of July Weekend! Put Politics aside – Celebrate our Country, Our Freedom, and our Military who Protect It – In God We Trust
The easy answer especially today would be Our Lord, or Historical Figures e.g., Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, Adams, Lincoln, Socrates, Aristotle, Plato etc…
My wife and I both lost our parents at a young age, so having our relatives and our beloved in-laws all together to celebrate would be amazing. I never had the chance to meet my grandparents, and both my wife’s mother and my father passed away before we started our own family. Many of our aunts and uncles on both sides lived through significant events like World War I, the Great Depression, and World War II. Spending quality time together, engaging in conversation, and seeing how our kids would react to meeting them would be invaluable. Ideally, we would do this over an extended weekend, like this one.
Point to Ponder: Enjoy the simple things in life and focus on being in the moment, as our time here is brief in the grand scheme of things. Stop allowing distractions, such as political and religious views, to create divisions that don’t really belong. These outside interests should not interfere with our family and friendship connections.
