During these hot summer days, when we have been experiencing weeks of temperatures ranging from the high eighties to the low hundreds, the first person that comes to mind is our deep gratitude for Mr. Willis Carrier and his invention of air conditioning in 1902. Another notable invention that has contributed to our comfort during these warm days is the electric fan, invented by Schuyler Skatts Wheeler in 1882.

Additionally, many have contributed to our overall health through innovations in medicine and surgical procedures, such as X-rays, vaccines for polio, DPT, measles, flu, and COVID-19, as well as various surgical inventions and techniques.
