Recently, I’ve been working on a manuscript that I started eight years ago, and I’m excited to finally get it published. This piece is a family legacy project that weaves in our entire clan, and I believe it will resonate with fans of Hallmark movies. However, I’ve encountered a few challenges along the way. Since I initially began writing, two more grandchildren have been born, and a key location that plays an important role in the story has closed its doors. Spoiler alert: that location is Macy’s in Philadelphia!
WWhat hasn’t been mentioned is that this situation has put a bit of a hold on my usual routine of walking, going to the pool, playing guitar, and doing some light reading. That said, it might be the rainiest June on record; if not, it’s certainly very close. I even noticed a neighbor or two working on arks! Just saying!
I view this rainy situation as a form of divine intervention. It has provided me with the opportunity to refine my skills in blogging, typing, writing, editing, and formatting, all with the support of my publishing company, BookLocker.com. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my editing team, which includes my wife and daughter, as well as the teams behind Spell Check and Grammarly. This experience highlights why many writers rely on editors and ghostwriters—something I would never do when telling my own stories.
