Usually, I wake with a thoughtful, silent prayer of thanks to God for allowing me to look upon this day He has created. As I type today’s prompt just after briefly watching the News globally and locally, especially the chaos happening in our cities, it gives a moment of repose on the “why”? I choose to turn the TV off and focus on the positives…Being Alive, Sun’s up, Birds are chirping, the norms that happen in everyday life around the globe, and in every community.
Point to Ponder: Maybe we need to just step back, take a deep breath, and find peace in those quiet moments without our electronic devices. Maybe we can then grasp that waking up today wasn’t a guarantee last night? Our children and grandchildren are safe at home. We live in a country where we can freely give thanks to the Creator in our own way. We have work, food, shelter, clothes, a place to rest, our families are safe and well, and we were able to enjoy life’s free, simple treasures e.g., Look into the night sky and ponder the smallness of self in the immensity of the moon and stars and be able watch the sunrise and sunset on another new day! Now that’s pretty notable!
