If you hadn’t guessed by now Fall. Autumn for me is always a time of change and a chance at new opportunities and possibilities. Losing the heat of Summer, like the changing tides to the cooler, crisp, more colorful Fall days. Baseball, Beach Umbrellas, waves, shorts and tees, and swimwear; give way to Football, rain umbrellas, falling leaves, windy days, jackets, and long-sleeved shirts and pants.
Childhood dreams: Halloween costumes, Thanksgiving, and the Christmas holiday season, New Year’s, Snow Days, St. Patrick’s and Valentine’s Day, and who could forget Easter? We always circle back heading into baseball, Memorial weekend, and community swimming pools reopening as we head back into the days of Summer. Everyone realizes that as we age, many of the important moments we treasure in life are cyclical, around family, friends, and neighbors. Those high-water mark events that beckon you to break out the camera, e.g., births, birthdays, graduations, weddings, career, moves, anniversaries, and the like. It really doesn’t matter the season, as the above happens in every season. The difference is that here, where we live, we experience all four Seasons. So, when asking someone their favorite season, their answers would come in a variety, much like their favorite ice cream or water ice, as it is a matter of choice. Aah! For me, it’s Autumn
