Productivity is similar to preparing a favorite dish. You need to ensure you have the right recipe and all the necessary ingredients. It’s important to prepare everything as if it might be your last meal, especially if you’re sharing it with family or friends—you want it to taste just right.
Every dish requires careful preparation: it must be mixed according to specifications, cooked at the right temperature, and then allowed to rest. This resting period isn’t just to prevent it from getting cold; it allows the juices to settle before serving. After that, the only remaining task is to prepare the right-side dishes to complement the main dish, which can take additional time and effort.
Today was all about a book-related project, with everything needing to be just right—from the publisher’s detailed agreements to how the final product will look when it’s presented. It was a very productive day, and we didn’t even have time to think about dinner!
I almost forgot the wine to accompany the dish. Either way, when all is said and done, the dish will suffice, whatever it is today, and the wine… Ah! Yes, the wine will certainly make it better.
